Our genetic coding at the codon level in our DNA is such a mathematical masterpiece that there is only a one in ten trillion chance that it was not engineered over 3.5 billion years ago.
If we were extremely advanced in science and money was no object, we would go all selfish-gene Darwinian and colonize as much of the galaxy as we could.
One method would be to send out microbes to planets likely to be hospitable to life--about a billion of them in our galaxy--that could terraform and bio-form it into the next Garden of Eden. The initial seeding could be with unmanned rockets or anti-gravity propelled craft. Then we might follow up with those where life had taken hold and mold it into what we wanted with our sophisticated engineering. Plenty of oxygen, water, diversity of life, arable, etc. To expand the humanoid races, we might even work on a humanoid population before we join them at some point.
Science, since 2003 with the discovery of bizarre, ancient ''alien'' viruses, and 2013 with cracking the ''Da Vinci'' code of DNA made by some smart aliens somewhere suggests we were seeded, probably along with millions of other planets.
If true, you and I arose from ''alienized'' DNA, making us aliens on Earth as part of a colony for some parent civilization from billions of years ago.
