Philip Corso (The Day After Roswell for the unitiated) and UAP disclosed by the Navy and alleged non-Earthly materials are good enough for me to believe. The Truth drove the expansion and penetration of the Deep State to influence all of politics, gain trillions in profits, create and harvest the tech revolution, lauch the Strategic Defense Initiative with reverse-engineered weapons, with particle beams leading the arsenal, and the Apollo program and the Space Shuttle. The top 30 global corporations exploited the alien truth to dominate the planet, and most of the rest of us primates are still waiting for "disclosure" from the government which will never come in full. In fact, the Deep State knows much more than the government ever will...What alien civilizations can do is likely to be beyond the comprehension capacity of us evolved primates bent on food, sex, mysticism, drugs, parenting, and fighting--and watching TV and movies.
